Giving a Voice to Photographers and Video-makers from the Ukraine
Common Air: March 30, 2014
On March 30, 2014, seven orchestras simultaneously performed Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy”, the EU anthem, at seven largest airports of Ukraine. The event was dedicated to the memory of the protesters killed in Kiev on February 18-20 (the Heavenly Hundred), to the signing of political section of association agreement with the EU and to the support of the national unity.
Symphonic orchestra and chorus of Lysenko Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater conducted by an honored artist of Ukraine Vitaly Kutsenko. Chief choirmaster, honored artist of Ukraine Olexiy Chernikin, soloists Olena Starikova, Lilia Kutisheva, Olexander Lapin, Olexiy Srebnytsky. Idea: Iolanta Pryshliak, Olena Rofe-Beketova. Coordinator and co-organizer: “Bagels&Letters” PR agency, Kharkov, Ukraine. Camera: a group of cameramen directed by Boris Shusterman.
Boris Shusterman (b. 1953) is a film director from Kharkov, Ukraine. His films (New Year Interlude, 2012; Axis, 2011) have taken part in international cinematographic festivals.
